Integration Centre
The nerve centre for our fulfilment services is a 10,000 square foot facility in Ballymount, just off the M50. The DSS Technical Integration Centre houses all our engineering and maintenance operations, our logistics management office and our customer helpdesks.
The centre is designed to tailor large quantities of computer hardware to meet customers' specifications. We hold inventories of equipment from a range of vendors in accordance with service level agreements for our major customers. Our team of configuration engineers can build and cable up to eight racks every day and the centre has a daily imaging capacity of 220 clients, 45 servers and 74 switches or routers.
All of these operations are managed by a process control system that we have developed in collaboration with our customers. This system ensures the highest level of security and consistency in asset and naming conventions.
The Technical Integration Centre can also provide consultancy and project management in virtualisation and consolidation technologies, advanced infrastructure solutions, networking and storage technologies.
Other resellers depend on partner companies to store their inventory. DSS runs its own warehouse. This, indeed, is the only such warehouse in Ireland that has attained a Class A rating for its power supply. We transport the products in air cushioned trucks whose ramps are specially designed for handling IT equipment.
DSS runs a support and maintenance team of more than 40 engineers. The Technical Integration Centre uses remote monitoring and online backup to maintain the health of customers' systems. The engineering team also provides hands-on support to installations all over Ireland.

Here again, our in-house systems underpin the quality of our services. If a problem arises, our advanced field solution utilises real-time monitoring and generates reports that keep customers informed.
