Proof of Concept Lab

The only one of its kind in Ireland, the lab contains a state of the art ESX server farm here our VMWare Certified Professionals can demonstrate the full functionality of the VMWare ESX data-centre class software on a range of technologies and applications including Active Directory 2003, SQL, Exchange 2003, Linux and Netware applications. Based on a high performance SAN, ESX VirtualCentre, VMotion and P2V Assistant can also be demonstrated. Technology demonstrations in the lab can be arranged on request.

Proof of Concept Service

In order to advance your implementation of VMware and to demonstrate the actual benefits of server virtualisation on your servers, DSS can provide you with a VMware server virtualisation Proof of Concept implementation.

This service offering is designed to enable you to quickly understand and utilise the capabilities of VMware ESX Server and VMware VirtualCentre, applied specifically to your environment.

It is an entirely self contained and complete service that will virtualise a selected set of your existing servers. This will take actual servers from your existing environment and install them on either a new server you provide or on servers in DSS’s VMware Proof of Concept laboratory.

If you provide the infrastructure we can supply you with a 30-day free trial of VMware server virtualisation software onsite so you can test and demonstrate the operation of virtual servers within your organisation.

This will allow you explore the operation, management, administration and use and benefits of server virtualisation using real servers and the systems and applications.
