A BladeSystem enclosure consolidates the moving parts of a traditional infrastructure – cables, power supplies and fans, networking, redundancy and more – making the whole infrastructure easier to manage. Inside, you can mix and match almost any combination of ProLiant, Integrity and StorageWorks blades to run your choice of thousands of applications and connect to your networks, but use 94 per cent fewer cables. You can share and swap the same blades and network options between other BladeSystem enclosures and manage it all along with standard HP Servers and Storage with the same tools.
Is the c3000 the right size for my needs?
The HP BladeSystem c3000 is specifically designed for smaller sites that have a small staff and do not have special power and cooling or a lot of space. The BladeSystem c3000 is the right choice if:
• You only need 3 to 8 servers or storage components at a time
• You add fewer than 4 servers, slowly over time
• Your server room only supports low-line wall outlets, 110V for example
• You require DC power (48 volts)
• Your server room has limited air conditioning
How many blades are supported?
The BladeSystem c3000 holds up to four full-height blades or up to eight half-height storage or server blades. HP offers StorageWorks storage blades, Integrity and ProLiant server blades, and workstation and virtual desktop blade solutions. Our blades have hot plug drives, lots of memory and I/O, and the simple remote management, quality and reliability you have come to expect from HP.
