Dublin, Ireland: Tuesday, 8th June, 2004.
DSS, Irelands leading infrastructure and services company, has announced that it has been awarded the contract to supply the Dublin Institute of Technology with its infrastructure requirements on the HP platform for the next 3 years. This comes in the wake of a number of other high profile contract wins by DSS into education and government institutions.

Under the terms of the deal, which is valued at an estimated €1.5m over three years, DSS will supply the DIT with HP servers, laptops and desktop PCs.
"This contract with the DIT is a key win for DSS. Along with some of our other recent wins, including National Centre for Technology in Education, North Eastern Health Board, LGCSB, Trinity College and the Dept of Defence, this deal firmly positions DSS as one of the leading suppliers of IT infrastructure projects into the government and education sectors", stated Richard Nolan, Managing Director for DSS.
"Following a competitive tendering process, DIT has selected DSS as our partner on the HP platform," said David Scott, Chief Information Systems officer with DIT. "Their ability to provide us with the most competitive pricing while having excellent technical capabilities to meet our requirements were key factors in making our decision" he added.
Dublin Institute of Technology is one of the country's leading educational institutions. Its 20,000 students and over 2,000 staff are based in 40 sites around Dublin's city centre and it has the highest level of connectivity of any higher education institute in Ireland.
