DSS have implemented the Microsoft System Centre suite of products into our Technical Support Centre.

Through the implementation of the Microsoft System Centre suite of products into our support centre, DSS have the ability to offer our customers a full range of remote monitoring, resolution and software distribution & update services.

Traditionally, Microsoft products were focused on either remote monitoring (MOM) or software distribution (SMS) services. Now, through Systems Centre Essentials, DSS can offer customers both of these services as well as wide a range of additional related services.

What services can be provided?
Following its implementation into the DSS support environment in Ballymount, DSS have the ability to provide our customers with the following services:

• Remote monitoring of a customer’s IT environment
• Remote resolution capabilities for customer support issues
• Software deployment capabilities
• A wide range of reporting capabilities including daily “Heath Check” reports. Reports provided include;
o Hardware/software inventory
o Exchange Statistics and mailbox usage
o Software licensing & many more

What are the Benefits?
There are a great many benefits to be gained through the implementation of Systems Centre Essentials. Most significantly, it enables customers to proactively manage their IT environment rather than reactively responding to issues that arise.
Its implementation will also enable the freeing up of in-house IT resources for other key projects by taking the burden of constant monitoring and resolution from internal IT staff.

Flexibility to choose what suits you..
Depending on your specific requirements, the service provided can be tailored to suit your needs. This includes opting for monitoring that can be provided on a full time or part time basis. For example, you may elect to only have remote monitoring for example when your IT support administrator is away on holidays.
