DSS/Codec is celebrating 25 years in the business of helping to build businesses. It’s a significant achievement over a turbulent economic age, through downturns and boom times alike.
The company first registered for operations in Ireland back in 1985 as Decision Support Systems and originally there were two operating divisions – DSS (the reseller division) and DSS Business Solutions group (specialising in software consulting and services).
In 2000 the parent company was re-named Codec Systems Group and the two operating divisions became known as DSS Ltd and Codec Systems Ltd. This change of name for the software division of the company was to help the company move into other markets outside of Ireland.
That proved to be a wise move because today the Codec Systems Group has operations in Germany, Poland and the UK with its head office in Adelaide Road, Dublin 2. The group has impressive revenues of €31m, over 100 staff and is going from strength to strength.
Here’s to the next 25 years.
